13th June 2013 – Marsh Frits and Redstarts

Less than 10 minutes drive away from my home lies Finglandrigg Wood, home of the Marsh Fritillary butterfly, and as the sun was occasionally coming out I decided to go and see how they were doing…

It was also really great to spend some time watching a pair of Redstarts, both parents were busy catching insects and caterpillars…
