10th April 2013 – Reed Bunting still in the garden…

At long last it seems that some Chiffchaffs are arriving locally, and the one singing in the garden last Sunday made me think that maybe, just maybe, spring really is just around the corner. Talking of garden birds our male Reed Bunting continues to give crippling views from the kitchen window. Actually it’s a genuinely exciting bird to have in the garden, unfortunately I seem to be encountering this species less and less around the Solway so to be able to watch one a few metres away whilst I’m having my tea is pretty good! Ok maybe not quite up there with the Harlequin last week, but it’s all relative I suppose. Here’s a few more images of this garden mega.
