28th September 2012 – Just the usual suspects

I had a few trips out today after high tide hoping to refind this mornings AGP but alas no further sign I’m afraid. Craig Shaw was up on the Solway today and also searched unsuccessfully, it would appear that the report of an AGP from Bowness this afternoon actually referred to a juvenile Grey Plover that was seen by a visiting birder. Oh well. Only other things of note today were a juvvy Curlew Sand, Ruff and Spotted Redshank at Port, and best of all 3 Pale-bellied Brent Geese found by Craig – an excellent local record.
