23rd September 2012 – The early bird(er) catches the AGP…

Just up the road from me the American Golden Plover continues to show well in it’s favoured field behind ‘Enness House’ at Drumburgh. Early this morning the whole flock was very nervy and flighty, just before I left a Grey Heron put them up and they flew to a field out of view, but they did this yesterday and returned so I’m confident it’ll be back (famous last words)…

 The Curlew Sand was still on the flood at Drumburgh.
