Try as I might I still can’t find anything decent out there amongst the masses of waders. Yesterday before work I managed to locate a single juv Curlew Sand and Greenshank, but that’s about it. Today there were excellent numbers of Golden Plover, Knot and Redshank, and single Black-tailed Godwit. The Greenshank was also still present. There was also a flock of 18 Snipe zipping around. A bit chilly today out of the sun, definitely feeling like autumn, and this was emphasised by lots of Wigeon around and small groups of Pinks flying over. It was good to have the place to myself though, a very pleasant couple of hours birding today.
