31st August 2012 – Fingland Flash Black Tern

A juvenile Black Tern was present on the flood south of Fingland village this afternoon (great find Col). As I’d already done my shift at work and it’s just up the road I thought I’d go take a look. When I went the weather had closed in big time, it was cold, dark and drizzling, and the bird seemed to be favouring the far side of the flood, hence crap pics. Still, better than nowt, so these will have to suffice for now…

Also a couple of Ruff playing hide n seek and a hunting Peregrine (and equally crap pics)…
