16th May 2012 – Yellow Wags hang on

The Yellow Wagtail is in desperate trouble in Cumbria.  There is probably now only one site left in the county where this species can be reliably seen. As I watched them today and listened to their charismatic calls I couldn’t help but wonder whether this would be the last time I would hear them in Cumbria? I sincerely hope not.
