2nd May 2011 – LRP

Years ago when I left the midlands to move to Cumbria I wouldn’t have looked twice at a Little Ringed Plover – they were a relatively common summer visitor to many of the places I visited, but in Cumbria it’s a different story. They are pretty hard to come by up here, and sightings are generally kept hush hush – it’s definately not an easy bird to connect with. So I was pleased to see this bird today….
