Past Rarities in Britain…

Here’s a small selection of more recent rarities that I’ve seen since I began digiscoping in 2003….

BELTED KINGFISHER – 2005, dipped it in Staffordshire and Yorkshire, but caught up with it at Peterculter near Aberdeen.

CREAM-COLOURED COURSER – Scillies, 2004

LESSER SAND PLOVER – Aberlady Bay, 2004

MASKED SHRIKE – Fife, 2004

SOCIABLE PLOVER – Scillies, 2008

BROWN SHRIKE – Surrey, 2009

COLLARED FLYCATCHER – Fife, 2009

WHITE-TAILED PLOVER – Caerlaverock, 2007 – if only all mega’s were this close!

RED-EYED VIREO – Land’s End, 2008

SOOTY TERN – Anglesey, 2005

GREY-CHEEKED THRUSH – Scillies, 2008 (same day as OBP, Bobolink and Bluetail)…
